Impact Highlights
We welcomed a new Child Care Health Consultant this fall, who has done an excellent job building new relationships with child cares while providing consultation and training on health and safety topics.
Our early childhood coaches Pam and Julie have been working directly with educators to improve quality of care.
We opened a new diaper and maternal supply bank called ChAMPS!
Despite a freeze in state funding we were able to continue to enroll children in the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, sending books to over 2,000 Chatham County children.
Focus on Fathers coordinators have provided intensive coaching designed to break cycles of trauma and abuse to 20 fathers this year.
Our Kaleidoscope playgroups have served 183 children, providing modeling and support to 163 parents and caregivers.
Teresa, our Birth to Three Quality Initiative coach, was able to provide one-on-one support in a challenging situation, preventing one child’s disenrollment!
The Child and Adult Care Food Program has fed 3,579 children, ensuring their access to nutritious meals while they are in child care.
We helped launch a new website: Find Child Care NC! This website helps families find quality child care and steers them to our call center if they have questions.
Our Healthy Social Behaviors coaches built strong relationships with teachers and directors, improving quality of care through coaching and training for 161 children.
41 Chatham County families received a child care subsidy voucher funded by the Partnership for Children.
The NC Pre-K program continues to provide at risk children an extra boost of learning designed to get them ready for Kindergarten!
