Childcare Academy: Launch Your Career in Childhood Education

What is the Childcare Academy?
The Childcare Academy is a comprehensive training and employment-readiness program designed for individuals who are new to the childcare field. Whether you’re changing careers or just beginning your professional path, this academy equips you with the essential skills and certification needed to succeed in early childhood education.
Who Can Join?
• Adults 18 years and older
• No prior childcare experience required
• High school diploma, or GED
What Will You Learn?
Participants will receive training in:
• Child Development: Understanding physical, emotional, and cognitive growth in children ages 0-5
• Health & Safety: CPR/First Aid Certification, hygiene practices, and emergency response.
• Behavior Management: Positive guidance techniques and classroom strategies
• Professionalism in Childcare: Communication skills, teamwork and ethics
• Licensing Requirements: State-mandated childcare training hours
