Infant/Toddler Safe Sleep & SIDS Reduction in Child Care Training (ITS-SIDS) (Virtual) Copy

If this is your first time taking ITS SIDS, it must be taken in-person.

This  training gives child care providers an overview of SIDS, identifies the risk factors and describes ways to reduce the risk of SIDS in childcare. Participants will review information about when and how to use the approved waivers, how to best place a baby in a bed to sleep, and other “best practice” recommendations. During the workshop, participants will get the needed information to create a Safe Sleep Policy, updated research about SIDS, and local health and safety resources.

In this virtual format, all participants must have their cameras on for the duration of the training. Participants who are unable to meet this expectation should attend the in-person training option. Participants who are attending the training are also required to not be counted in a ratio for caring for children. Participants are also required to participate fully during the training and engage with the presenter and other participants multiple times. Presentation slides and materials in Spanish are available upon request but the training will still be held in English.
