Cancelled- FCCH Providers Roundtable with Nicole Pearson

Our next Family Child Care Home Roundtable will be on Wednesday, March 25^th at Best Foods in Siler City. Nicole Pearson, who is the NC Family Child Care Home Consultant, a newly created position thanks to the NCDCDEE, will be joining us. She has been meeting with many of the FCCH providers throughout North Carolina to learn about the challenges you face and potential supports that are needed. Please come and share your thoughts and ideas with Nicole.

Join some of your colleagues for dinner at 6:00 if you can.

The Roundtable will start at 6:30.

Here is a little information about Nicole and her project:

In partnership with North Carolina DCDEE, Nicole Pearson has recently been hired by Southwestern Child Development as a Statewide Family Child Care Home Consultant. She has worked in the field of Early Childhood for over 10 years and considers herself a Kindergarten teacher at heart. She has worked in New York and California and is excited about learning the early childhood landscape in North Carolina.

This first year she will be leading research efforts to better understand the current landscape of licensed Family Child Care Homes throughout the state. She is in the process of gathering feedback from Family Child Care Home providers, families that choose/use Family Child Care Home provider services, and collaborating/supporting community partners. The goal of this project is to inform a statewide framework that develops strategies to support and sustain current and potential licensed Family Child Care Home providers.
