Cooking Classes for Child Care Center Directors and Cooking Staff

Come check out the fancy new kitchen classroom at the Agriculture center and try some tried, tested and kid approved recipes for child care! What’s on the menu? We’ll be making: egg cup frittatas, baked chicken fingers with yogurt Ranch dip, baked mozzarella chicken, homemade mac and cheese and Spanish brown rice and beans. These recipes are based on kid favorites that are served at centers that participate in the Meal Delivery Service in Orange County. These recipes also use low cost ingredients, can be prepared easily and quickly AND are CACFP approved! Come have some fun and try out some dishes that you can add to your menus! We’ll also cover basic knife skills and share some menu planning resources. This training is only for the following child care center staff: Owners, Directors, Assistant Directors and Cooking Staff, and is limited to two staff from each center,
