Health

A child’s health during the first years of their life is crucial to their development and lifelong health outcomes. The following are ways parents can help keep their children healthy:

  • Make sure they get enough sleep
  • Feed them nutritious meals that include fruits, veggies, grains, low-fat dairy products, and protein
  • Limit foods with saturated fats, added sugars, and salt
  • Share food time together at a table (not in front of a TV)
  • Reduce screen time
  • Make time for 1-3 hours of physical activity for your children
