How is it going?
This year began with a little uncertainty as state funding for this project was uncertain. While the project continued, coaches were concerned about their ability to offer high quality support and coaching. Near the end of the first half of the year the coaches were happy to hear that the Healthy Social Behaviors project will continue, although the project is undergoing reorganization. Coaches across the state will be employed by one organization: Child Care Resources, Inc. In addition, coaches will be able to serve any facility in need within a certain distance from their house. Betsy and Ann will continue to work with us to meet the needs of early childhood educators in our region, although they are no longer a part of the Chatham County Partnership for Children. We are happy to hear that this project will continue to operate, although we will miss Betsy and Ann’s presence on our staff.
