“This training will cover defining emergency preparedness and response (EPR), identifying types of emergency events that could impact early care and education settings, understanding risk assessment, the stages of EPR planning, Child Care Regulations and best practices related to EPR”
Emergency preparedness and response (EPR) rules are designed to assist licensed child care programs to adequately respond to the needs of children and others in the event of disasters and emergencies. Each licensed child care program in NC is required to have at least 1 employee who has taken the Emergency Preparedness & Response in Child Care training. This training is designed to help participants with developing their EPR plan that must be reviewed with each new employee as part of their orientation, and with all employees annually.
