Delicious and Nutritious Crock Pot Meals for Family Child Care Home Providers

Free*THIS TRAINING IS ONLY FOR FAMILY CHILDCARE HOME PROVIDERS IN CHATHAM COUNTY. PLEASE LIMIT ONE PERSON PER FCCH*
One of the biggest barriers to serving healthy and delicious meals to children is the lack of time needed to prepare and cook. For home providers who are almost always “single staffed” having the time needed to prep and cook is often impossible. One way to overcome this barrier is by using a crock pots! Come and learn about the basics of crock pot cooking, the DCDEE rules around crock pot use, and how to prepare crock pot meals that children will love. Participants will have the opportunity to taste some of the recipes. There will also be a 15 minute food prep presentation from Phyllis Smith from the Chatham County Cooperative Extension. This training is only for Chatham County FCCH and is limited to one person per home.
This training will be held at the Chatham County Agricultural and Conference Center. Participants should enter through the door on the left side of the building.
