This training is for FCCH providers and Child Care Center Directors. One person in every FCCH and Child Care Center is required to have this training by July 2017. This training is in 2 parts; you must attend both parts and complete the assignment in order to get credit. At this time we can only register 2 people per Child Care Center. This class will combine all of the health and safety training topics into one all day long training. Topics include: prevention and control of infectious diseases, sudden infant death syndrome, administration of medication, prevention and response to allergic reactions, indoor and outdoor safety, shaken baby syndrome, emergency preparedness and response, handling and storage of hazardous materials and appropriate precautions in transporting children. One way children learn about their world is through their bodies and physical experiences. Learning about their bodies is no exception. We will discuss strategies for how to talk with young children appropriately as they become more aware of their bodies and its parts beyond fingers and toes. Part of developing this "body consciousness" includes the potty training process.
