5/23 St. Bartholomew’s Church; 204 W. Salisbury St., Pittsboro; 6:30-8:30

Join Chatham’s Local Inter-agency Coordinating Council (LICC) for a screening of the film Resilience, a documentary on Adverse Childhood Experiences. Trailblazers in pediatrics, education and social welfare are using cutting-edge, field-tested therapies to protect children from the far-reaching effects of toxic stress. The film contains a wealth of information about child development and how developing bodies and brains respond to stress, and offers steps everyone can take to promote resilience in children. Child care early educators, directors and owners have a very important role to play in promoting the great childhoods that children deserve. A discussion will be held following the film.
