Do you have the same old rocks and scratched up magnifying glasses in your science center that you added last time you prepared for the environment rating scales?

When was the last time the kids in your room were excited about collecting data?

Do visitors see evidence of scientific thinking when they look around your room?

If enthusiasm about science is not a regular part of your classroom curriculum then this is the hands-on workshop for you. Freshen up your science center, pique children interest in nature, and add data collection and analysis to the daily activities in your classroom. We will give you ideas for collections of natural items and activities to go with them, live plants that you can easily grow in your classroom, and information about successfully adding fish to your science center, and the information needed to check all the right boxes to score well on environment rating scales while you’re at it. You will leave this training prepared to evaluate your ITERS or ECERS score for your science materials in your classroom.
