At our Deegan Drive office, the Partnership has a resource lending library available for Chatham County child care providers to use free of charge. It includes an Ellison die cut machine, a 27-inch roll laminator and a wide variety of books and early childhood learning materials.

Providers can use the die cut or check out materials in the lending library during office hours, Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, or 30 minutes prior to any training event held at the Deegan Drive office.  If you cannot make it during these times, call 919-542-6644 ext. 24 to set up an appointment.

Die Cut Machine and Laminator

All Chatham County child care providers are allowed to use both the die cut and laminator for their classroom needs.  Each child care center is allowed 30 feet of free laminating per month, and family child care homes are allowed 10 feet of free laminating each month.  Additional laminating can be done at a fee of $0.50 per foot (exact change or check). The use of the die cut machine is free, but you must supply your own paper.

To use the laminator you must have the assistance of trained staff, so please call before you come to be sure someone is available to help you.

There a lots of great ideas for ways to use the die cut machine for creating classroom activities.  We have created a board on our Pinterest page for ideas.
